John started pre-k on August 16th this year at the same elementary school that I went to as a kid! It was kind of fun to go back for meet the teacher night the day before school started :)
He's attending 5 days a week, half days, and he has speech therapy 3 days a week for 20 minutes each day.
I'm so thankful to live in such a great school district. We are all hopeful that we have the correct IEP in place for his speech, and that he'll be up to par for Kindergarten next year.
John absolutely LOVES school! His teacher is great, and I think he's pretty fond of her too.
This past Monday he wanted an apple with breakfast and then asked if he could take an apple to his teacher haha. We let him. Then yesterday on his way out the door to catch the bus (yes, he rides a little bus! lol), he freaked out saying he needed an apple for his teacher. I told him maybe next week... we don't want to overwhelm her with apples haha.
John is getting really good at writing his name. I've kept all his name papers to compare, and there is such a huge difference already from the first day of school to today, just 2 weeks later.
My sweet boy is growing up!
