Last week Grace turned 5 months! (the 24th) We don't have a well-baby appointment until 6 months, but I did get her weight and length at a WIC appointment...
-Weight: 13 lbs even... which is the 9th percentile
-Length: 22 7/8 inches... she's so short its not even on the chart anymore!
Gracelyn is sleeping a little better than she did in her 4th month... I still miss her sleeping through the night though! She gets up 2-3 times, which when compared to John, is super good haha. I finally have her on a good nap schedule (3 naps a day), so I think that's helping her when it comes to sleeping at night. She loves to spit and jabber at anyone who will listen. She also growls which is hilarious! Rolling over is apparently overrated in her book. She just won't do it. She'll roll to her side, but REFUSES to go all the way. She enjoys being the center of attention, so loves to sit in her little chair in the middle or everyone, or play in her exersaucer with John and Ellie nearby so she doesn't miss a thing. Her feet are probably her preferred teething toy, followed closely by any of Ellie's stuffed animals, which as you can imagine causes a lot of anguish for Ellie ;)
Surprisingly she still has her bright blue eyes! All her dark hair from birth is gone and in its place is strawberry blonde hair. NOOOO clue where she got that!
Since she's so short, she appears to be chunky, and without a neck ha. She's the only baby whose neck I've had to consistently powder and keep dry otherwise she gets a nasty rash. Poor girl.
Nothing fancy for her pictures... hopefully we'll be able to go outside for her 6 month pictures. I really want the weather to be nice and not quite so hot, so I can drag Ellie's teepee outside for some cute photos for her half birthday shoot haha. We'll see. Anyways- here we are! 5 months!
