Simply Everyday

Lately I love just getting my camera out for 15 or so minutes while the kids play after Ellie wakes up from her morning nap.

John is soo excited to see her & Ellie is so excited to be awake, so it makes for some pretty cute/fun moments!

I've really been loving simple every day moment photos in b+w because it forces you to focus on emotions. There aren't bright toys to take the attention away from what's going on. And, maybe it's just because I'm there so I know whats happening, but I think it draws you into the scene & you can almost hear the giggling & feel the affection between Ellie & her bubba.

So, here are some of my favorites from the past week or so :)

It always amazes me how fast John manages to completely put the room into disarray

These two make my heart so happy! I really doubted when we brought Ellie home from the hospital
that John would ever like her. I'm glad they are friends {most of the time} now :)

alright, I had to throw in some of my favorites in color too :)

Ellie is obsessed with stuffed animals!
Every time we pass some in a store, she gets so excited that it sounds like she's hyperventilating!

She LOVES carrots

So far this is Ellie's collection, minus a huge bear that was in the living room lol.
The elephant is a pillow pet, which means that the velcro at the bottom of its stomach
pull apart & then it lays flat for a pillow. 

This boy is always planning his next adventure lol
I swear those wheels of his never stop turning out trouble!

John really wanted to take a picture.
I let him sit in my lap & he pressed the live view button, which he liked since he won't look through the eye piece.
This is what resulted-- not bad, eh? ;)

The past few days John has really loved picking Ellie up & tries to walk with her haha
