Last year was obviously our 1st wedding anniversary & we had a 1 month old, we were totally broke & Nathan was just weeks away from deploying to Afghanistan. Lots of stress to say the least. We still made the best of it; my mom watched John while went to grab a bite to eat & then we headed over to Target to buy some bottles for John haha. Very romantic =)
So this year, after taxes, Nathan's TDY pay, & paying off our debt, we decided to really spoil ourselves! Nathan got a nice watch & an iPad 2. I got an iPad 2 as well and a ring big enough to wear as my wedding ring for now since I'm too swollen to wear my real set! (I love it so I'm totally going to wear it on my middle finger after I give birth & return to normal!) We also went to dinner at Macaroni Grill & then got our dessert at Baskin Robbins.
Today has been a laid back day. John is still recovering from all of our traveling & sleeping a lot. We grabbed lunch at the Doner stand, shopped a little at the PX (nothing much, we just needed some actual tupperwear... we figured after 2 years we deserved it!). We might go to dinner tonight, but its so nice out, I think we will end up grilling & just enjoy a relaxing evening at home.
I can't believe all thats happened in 2 years! We've moved to Germany, I've done the move twice, welcomed our first baby into the world, survived a deployment to Afghanistan & are just a few weeks away from welcoming our 2nd little one. Those just being the major milestones; there's so much more! We can't wait to see what the next couple of years bring to us, we've been so blessed these past 2 years =)
