Baby Bump #2 Update
Sunday, November 25, 2012
1. How Far Along? 13 weeks & 3 days.
2. Due Date? May 31, 2013 :-)
3. Do you know the gender? Not yet. I think I know what it is, but we'll see shortly after Christmas!
4. Size of the baby? About the size of a PEACH (2.9 inches) (How Big is Baby?)
5. Total weight gain? Down 15 lbs still. Now that I'm feeling better, well enough anyway, I'm hoping to start back up at the gym & keep that extra weight off.
6. Maternity Clothes? Nope. I'm back in my regular jeans; buttoned & zipped. I've been using the belly band to keep them up. I'm thinking about going to Motherhood Maternity & buying an elastic button thing. I saw it a while ago & thought it would be cool to try out.
7. Any stretch marks? No.
8. How's the sleep? Good! I've been sleeping like a rock! Especially now that Nathan is here. I love that he gets up at night with John. It really makes me feel like a new woman in the mornings lol.
9. Best moment this week? Picking Nathan up at the airport Tuesday. And Thanksgiving. Love my family! Oh & Saturday; we got to go to the KC temple with all our extended family. It was a magnificent experience!!!
10. Missing anything? my bed! Sleeping on this air mattress is starting to hurt my back.
11. Baby Movements? I thought I felt some tiny little flutters while I was laying in bed on my stomach. They were up around my belly button, which is where the doctors have found the baby's heartbeat both times they've checked for it... so who knows. 13 weeks seems early to me.
12. Any cravings? Yes, actually. Spicy food!!! On Wednesday Nathan & I had a date night where we went to see Breaking Dawn Part 2 & then we went to Longhorn for dinner. I ended up eating most of Nathan's nachos at the movies bc they were soooo dang good. Definitely NOT something I would've eaten before being pregnant.
13. What makes you sick or queasy? John's formula, chicken, dirty diapers, water, garlic, sweet things.
14. What pregnancy symptoms are there? Uterine twitches, some cramping, fatigue all day, MOOD SWINGS; I cry over everything, forgetfulness, heartburn, acne- its really bad this week, again... very stuffy/bloody nose, nausea, vomiting, frequent headaches & pregnancy rash (PUPPS).
15. Any labor signs? Nope.
16. Can you still wear your wedding rings? Sure can.
17. Your mood is...? Overall pretty good. We are traveling Wednesday-Saturday to visit Nathan's family in Iowa & my grandparents in Nebraska. I'm a little worried about all the driving only because I've seemed to develop car sickness with this pregnancy. Even driving to Lenexa over the Thanksgiving weekend was torture.
18. Looking forward to? Tomorrow! We're putting up the Christmas tree & all the decorations. Hopefully this'll encourage John to crawl... he is soooo close but has yet to actually do it.
Yay! It’s the last week of the first trimester and you did it. We’re not just talking about getting through those work meetings without falling asleep (or puking!), we’re talking about how you’ve completed one whole third of your pregnancy -- and the reputed toughest one at that. You’ve grown a fetus that has vocal cords, teeth and even fingerprints (wow!) and you probably kept this incredible news (mostly) secret while you constantly wished you could shout it from the rooftops -- or, at the very least, use it as an excuse for getting to work late. It’s about this time that many parents-to-be start spreading the word (to more people than just close family and friends) that there’s a baby on the way. But know that there are no hard and fast rules about when you should divulge your secret. It could be after your next prenatal doctor visit, once you start showing or at a big family event where everyone will be gathered. Or maybe everyone already knows! That’s totally your call.
