-Insert angry rant here!-

SO.......... Today started off as a fabulous day! John had an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G night. He ate around 7:15pm, fell asleep an hour or so later and did not wake up until 6:15am this morning. So proud of my little man! Then Rachel, mom & I ate lunch at Applebee's & headed over to Best Buy to buy Adam's birthday present. While at Best Buy I had planned on buying Nathan an unlocked GSM blackberry so that he's able to call here whenever he wants to. Right now he's restricted to the USO hours of operation & when he only gets one day off every TWO weeks that equals hardly any calls.

Anyway, this is where my day went down the drain. I have this handy app on my phone for our banks. It shows me everything I need to see; transactions & all that good stuff. WELL.... much to my dismay I noticed about 15 transactions with today's date equalling about $1100. Um, not cool. I know I didn't spend that & I know Nathan didn't. It's not like he's kickin it in Afghanistan shopping on their crappy Internet! So I called the bank to see if they could tell me where these transactions came from and what they were for. Come to find out, they're for some Blizzard online gaming for World of Warcraft. I am soooooo angry. Angry doesn't even begin to describe what I feel actually. What's even more frustrating is that the bank can't put a stop payment on them for whatever reason. They're pending and will be finalized tomorrow morning, at which point I'll be able to call and verify that neither Nathan or myself made those transactions. Then, they'll reimburse us & start all the paperwork to file a claim dispute. Talk about a pain in the butt because we obviously have bills that come out on certain dates so I had to call all those places explain what was going on & make sure that everything is covered! Luckily, everyone was very understanding & pleasant to talk to. I just don't understand why the bank can't stop the payments before they're actually processed. Whatever. At least we'll have the money back in the morning but it's just the fact of the matter.

Who seriously has the time to figure out all of our bank account information & blow a good chunk of our money on online gaming... I didn't even know online gaming was that much money! What a waste! This person had better pray that I don't ever figure out who they are! I am so furious... I just had to rant  to cool down & get it all off my chest. I hope everyone else is having a better day than I am >:-(

  1. Oh my gosh Amber, I'm so sorry!!! I hope everything works out. I had someone hack into my account a few years ago, but the account froze before they, or I, could spend anything. I don't see why they can't deny the transaction if you found out while it is in pending status. Hopefully they'll find out who the low life is that stole from you guys. But, I'm happy to hear that your bills worked out. That is so good that they were kind and understanding

    1. See yeah I thought if I called straight away then they'd be able to freeze the account too! But apparently not. I asked why but the rep didn't explain it very well & I had a million things running through my head that I was really only half listening after I heard "No we can't yet..."

It makes me even more upset because I don't know if this person is in the US or in Germany. It happened to our Community Bank DOD account. When you go overseas, at least in Germany, you have to have one of these accounts because they have German routing numbers as well as American ones. In order to have a cellphone they need a German routing number for your bills as well as electricity & rent (if living off post). Its smart because then you're not dealing with writing checks to locals & having something mess up but now I need to worry about who got our info... did it happen with the German routing number or the American one? Stupid, stupid people!! At least our bills worked out because I probably would've had a complete melt down if it didn't.
