My Bracelet

So last weekend I was feeling really sad about Nathan's deployment & I was looking through photos on a Facebook page that I like & decided I wanted to order a para cord bracelet to wear while Nathan is gone. D's (military custom purses) is the name of the page & she is just so fantastic! She makes all sorts of awesome things. She's very creative & I love her work! Well I finally got my bracelet in the mail today & I love it! It's just something fun & cute in an Army pride sort of way & it reminds me of Nathan.

I was able to pick out the charms that I wanted, the kind of camo (multicam) & a second color (turquoise) & the kind of closure I wanted. She had metal heart closures or cute wooden buttons with all sorts of saying on them, then you can choose to add a little bow of your choice in color.

John's sleep & play rocker was also delivered today & I am so pleased with it! He absolutely loves it which is a huge relief & blessing to me. I finally get the bed back at night (HOORAY!) & I have somewhere to set him down at during the day. He is never content for long if he's set down in his bouncer, bassinet, crib, boppy, play mat etc. The only other thing he likes is his swing but he has to be almost asleep to go in it & after a little bit he wants out. Talk about a high maintenance baby! ;) Anyway, I'm so excited about all the possibilities that this brings. I can work out without having to ask my mom or sister to hold him. I'll be able to have time to put away laundry, clean the bathroom & sew among other things that I really want to get done.
Napping in his sleep & play rocker :)
Love this little guy!

Actually being happy while not being held- yay!

Other exciting things- John is 2 months old! WOW! Time really is going by so quickly. This morning I looked through all the pictures I have of him & watched the video of him being born as well as a few videos I have of the last week or so of my pregnancy where he was obviously having some kind of dance party. I loved seeing my stomach move & now that he's here & I know his little personality, watching those videos was even more heart warming. I will admit that for about 2 whole seconds I missed being pregnant. Only 2 seconds & then I was completely over it haha :)
The day John was born- March 17, 2012
John today- May 17, 2012 - 2 months old!
