6 Hours

After having kind of a crappy week in terms of  how much sleep John allowed me to get, last night my adorable little bundle of joy started eating at about 8:15pm and fell asleep at about 9pm. Then, because of his acid reflux, we have to keep him upright (over the shoulder) for about 30 minutes after he eats, so we went to bed at about 10pm. I wanted to make sure he was really sleeping good before laying him down. Well, he did not wake up until 3:10am!!!!! I seriously couldn't believe it! I felt SO GOOD. And he was so happy too. I love that. It really does make getting up at hours I'd rather not be awake at so much easier. I really need to get a camera other than the one on my phone. I get frustrated with the quality of pictures because I want to print a lot of the pictures I end up taking to make a collage to send to Nathan.

Well, tomorrow is Mother's Day, which is actually exciting for me this year! lol. My mom and I plan on being pampered all day after church, that's for sure :) This also marks the first "holiday" or special event that Nathan and I will not spend together. So that kind of sucks. The first of many more to come. I'm choosing to look at all the missed holidays, birth days, and anniversaries as milestones though that we hit.... milestones until he comes home. I'm so not ready to be back in deployment mode. Ughhhhh....

Deployment Mode: A long period of time where one is always attached to his or her phone, no matter the day or time, waiting for an email or a phone call from their service member to say that they're okay. A long period of time where one's emotional and mental stress reaches an all time high. A long period of time where one's knees have rug burns from all the prayers said over their service member's safe return.

My lover-butt lol

I have been looking at really awesome ideas for care packages though and I do believe I have my first care package all planned out as well as the Father's Day care package :D woohoo!!! That's the fun part of deployment. Making care packages. I made some pretty awesome ones last deployment so it'll be hard to top but I'm pretty sure I'm up to the challenge lol. While looking online for care package ideas, as well as pinning on Pinterest I came across cafepress.com. I had completely forgotten about this website and had a fun time looking through onesies for John (like he doesn't have enough clothes! He takes up the whole walk in bedroom closet!!) And I found his onesie for the 4th of July. I'm so excited about it! I've been looking for a cute outfit for him to wear since it's his first 4th of July so I'm glad that I found this.. with his adorable little jean shorts it'll be perfect!

www.cafepress.com - This 4th of July I am proud to say that my daddy is overseas protecting your freedom. BE HONORED.
