It's been a while since I've written an actual blog post & I hadn't realized that until today! lol. Life has been quite hectic since the last time I posted. I'm 13 weeks pregnant today! I'm so ready for the 2nd trimester because everyone says it's the best time in your pregnancy- you start to feel better, you find out the gender, your get to feel the baby move for the first time! I'm seriously hoping that my sickness at least lightens up soon. I am so sick of eating and then having it come right back up. Some days I just don't eat much of anything so I can avoid getting sick :-/ But, I know that it'll be worth it when our little one is finally here!!!
I do believe we've FINALLY settled on a girl name!! Our boy name has always been John Anthony, John after Nathan's older brother who was KIA in Iraq & Anthony after my dad. But our girl name has been quite difficult because we wanted Nathan's mom's name in there somewhere... she passed away several years ago now & her name is Sherry. SO, I think we finally agreed on Adalynn Sherry for the girls name which works out really well because Sherry's middle name was Lynn was it's nice that part of her name is incorporated into the first name. Also, Adalynn is German & this baby will be born in Germany at a German civilian hospital because Ansbach doesn't have a hospital on base! Kinda cool. :)
We're all set for the movers to come on September 28th & pack us up & ship our stuff out! It's so insane! I can't believe it's finally here! It feels like I've been talking about it for months & months & BAM! Here it is. Nathan has to go to ALC (Aviation Leadership) in Virginia on the 29th and will be gone until November 10th or so, which means I will be living with my family in Topeka until he can join me :) I'm going to miss him so much & am kind of angry that Army is deciding to send him off for training last minute! He's going to miss a few important doctors appointments. I'm so sad he won't be there by my side when we find out if the baby is a boy or a girl, but I guess this is what I signed up for being an Army wife lol. It doesn't make it easy but I'm strong & will be okay.
