Last Monday, Nathan calls me shortly after getting to work saying that he's coming home & took 2 weeks of emergency leave because his grandma passed away.
She was totally healthy. Ran everyday & how did she die? She passed away due to having 2 heart attacks back to back IN the hospital! I guess she was having some chest pain early that Monday morning so she went in to see what the deal was. So sad & crazy. It really makes you think about what's important! So we spent 8 days with family in Iowa & Missouri. It was actually kind of a nice experience because I got to meet so many members of his family that I probably wouldn't have met for quite some time & they're all REALLY great people!
Now for some happy news... I'M PREGNANT!!!!! AH! It's so crazy! We definitely weren't trying haha. But we are so thrilled to be parents! According to the date calculator on babycenter.com I'm 7 weeks & 1 day :) My first appointment though isn't until August 17th :-/ I guess the base OB/GYN are really full this time of year lol!
Nathan is convinced that it'll be a boy, but I think it's a girl & lucky for us we've already got our names picked out! As the time gets closer, I'll share those names :)
