Meier's Pumpkin Patch

John's preschool class had a field trip up North to Meier's Pumpkin Patch! Families were invited along, so of course we took the opportunity to go. I'm embarrassed to say that Ellie and John's last time at a pumpkin patch was in Germany; T H R E E years ago!

As far as I can recall, I don't think I'd ever been to this patch, and was pleasantly surprised at how perfect it was for toddlers. I think we're going to go back next week or so to get our big carving pumpkins and a few decoration pumpkins (I really love the white and grey ones!)

Anyway, John insisted he ride the bus like a normal school day, so he did and we met them at the school 45 minutes later and followed the bus to the patch.

First, we went on a hayrack ride, which all the kids loved except for Ellie. I'm not sure what her problem was, I think she might have been disappointed that Nathan stayed behind with Grace? She sat on my lap, with her hands over her ears the whole time whimpering, "daddy, where's my daddy?"

He was irritated that we weren't moving yet
After the hayrack ride, the kids played in the tunnels, then moved onto the "Huge Slides".

I want one of these slides haha! It looked so fun! It was a hit with all the kids. Even the ones who were scared at first, kept going down them with an adult over and over again.

The cute little preschool class + Ellie lol

John couldn't wait to get to those slides!

Nathan couldn't resist either. He even took Gracelyn down, which she actually seemed to enjoy. I can't believe I missed that picture, but Ellie was crying about walking up the hill alone.

Someone was exhausted; this was right during her usual morning nap, and little miss doesn't nap unless she's in her crib, or in the car.

John was the first to try going down head first on his belly...

The para couldn't stop laughing at him. He probably ran up that hill 50 times!
After the slides, we had a little snack, then hit the fields to pick a pumpkin!

I don't have any photos of picking a pumpkin because Grace had lost her cool and I had to carry her, and help Ellie find a pumpkin.

Can you believe that 5 years ago today, we found out this little one was a boy?!
And now he's picking pumpkins with his preschool class.
Where does the time go?
After picking their pumpkins, they played in the big tire sandpit before loading up on the bus and heading back to school to go home for the day.

It was the perfect end to a short school week! Thursday and Friday are parent/teacher conferences. This year is just flying by!
