I Caved

So today we had our 20 week ultrasound! The past week everyone had really been bugging me to find out baby's gender and I was 50/50 this morning. I really wanted to not know because thats always been the plan; if we had a boy and a girl, any others would be surprises. Plus, it's our last so I thought what better way to make the birth even more memorable.

When the tech asked us if we were finding out, Nathan and my mom chimed in, "Yes!!"

I agreed. Plus, it was pretty obvious when the tech was measuring the legs and the booty that there was nothing dangling ;)

That's right, we'll be welcoming another sweet little baby G I R L into our family this Spring!

Overall, I'm glad I caved and found out. I've had a difficult time bonding with this baby after losing the twins last Fall. In a way, I think I was so set on not finding out the gender so that if something happened, I wouldn't be "too attached". It was actually a very big sense of relief to know that this baby is a girl who is 100% healthy & on track. I finally was able to buy her something afterwards now that I feel like I will be able to carry her to term.

As if that wasn't good enough for today, since I maintained my weight, when I asked the OB if I could get my PICC line removed, she said YES! So, that thing is g-o-n-e! yay! I've been itching that section of my arm all afternoon and it feel oh so good lol.

Anyway, some have asked for a belly shot. Here's just a super quick one I took just a minute ago.   Don't mind the vacuum behind me ;) or my super swollen hands. Hopefully now that the PICC is out and I won't be getting IV fluids and meds every other day, the swelling will subside. My belly is huge this time... I'm pretty sure I wasn't this big until I was at least 30 weeks with John and Ellie. Oh well.

no, I'm not missing a pointer finger-- its just covered in a neon pink bandaid
after I peeled a huge crater out of it peeling potatoes on Saturday.
