Rainbow Baby | Week 6

1. Number of weeks: 6 weeks, 1 day

2. Due Date: April 1, 2016

3. Gender: Nope. Not finding out this time :)

4. Baby size:  roughly the size of a lentil or a chocolate chip, if that's easier to picture lol.

5. Weight gain/loss: none

6. Maternity Clothes?: No, I am super bloated though. It's a side effect of the Progesterone soft gels I have to take, so I live in work out bottoms and t-shirts. Maxi skirts or elastic waist band skirts and loose shirts on Sunday for church. I'm hoping to be able to buy a few transitional items that'll last me through out the pregnancy. Soon, hopefully.

7. Stretch marks?: Nope; just the old faded ones from my pregnancy with John.

8. How's the sleep?:  I have no problems napping during the day. Sleeping at night though is a different story.

9. Best moment this week?:  Finding out yesterday that my hcg went from 252 to 6120 in a WEEK. A little info on hcg for those who are clueless (I was, even though I've been pregnant 3 times before): hcg is the pregnancy hormone and in healthy pregnancies, it doubles every 48-72 hours until around the 2nd trimester. This is a sign that your pregnancy is healthy and progressing. If my numbers had only doubled every 48 hours for a week they would've read 3024. So the fact that it's beyond that, but not outrageously so (crazy high hcg is a sign of a molar pregnancy), is very, very good! Had my numbers dropped, rose too slowly or stayed the same, it would've been indicative of a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy. Thank goodness that wasn't the case! Dr. Dickson feels so comfortable with the way my labs have turned out, I don't have to be seen until my sonogram on the 17th, barring any warning signs of another miscarriage, which she feels is a slim chance now. I was so relieved and happy, I cried.

10. Missing anything?:  No, not really. Maybe energy. I'm off all meds, including  my Mestinon for MG per my neuromuscular specialist's orders. So I have had issues with muscles exhausting after a few minutes of use, but it's worth it to know our baby is thriving.

11. Baby Movements?:  No. Just some round ligament pains if I bend or roll over too quickly.

12. Cravings:  Watermelon, Bagel cheesy egg sandwiches with syrup. SALT. I've never wanted salt so bad before. Ice cold drinks.

13. What makes you sick or queasy?:  Meat. Lily (our puppy). Dirty diapers. Dirty dishes. Trash can. Any drinks that aren't practically frozen.

14. Any pregnancy symptoms?:
+ fatigue
+ bloated
+ acid reflux like no ones business... again from the Progesterone
+ crying spells. it's bad this time around. i cry at everything! lol
+ acne
+ mood swings

15. Labor signs?:  no...

16. Your mood is...?:  Positive. Yesterday's news really brightened my spirits.

17. Looking forward to?:  The sonogram on August 17th. I am just praying to see a healthy little baby!
