Stop growing up, dang it! I've had a few "mom moments" over this past week or so. I had mentioned a little while back how John would not sleep in a "big boy" bed until he was three and/or could climb out of his crib. Well, he must've heard me because the very next day, I found him scaling the sides of his crib.

| during his nap the next day... |
On payday there happened to be one toddler bed at the PX, so we snatched it up! I was really afraid about what Nathan & I were in for that night, but it really went much smoother than I had anticipated. He only cried for about 40 minutes before passing out. Then the next day for his nap he only cried for a couple minutes. It's been smooth sailing! I can't believe how big he is. I may have cried a few tears silently to myself when he went to sleep the first night & we checked on him before we went to sleep lol. He's just growing up too fast! It honestly doesn't seem like almost 2 years since he was born!
He LOVES the new arrangement in his room. I moved the crib over to the other wall because on the 13th when we're in Landstuhl we're getting another crib mattress so that miss Ellie can sleep in the crib & finally share a room with John instead of Nathan & I. I also decided to move their little "closet" -aka- cheap metal frame with clear plastic zip up cover, out into the hall because it's not very stable. I don't want him messing with it if he happens to wake up in the middle of the night. I also got rid of any picture frames that were in his room ( they were on the window ledge ) because I don't need him breaking those in the middle of the night. Basically, there's the crib, his bed, a rug, his ball pit, ride on truck & a play work bench with his tools. The boxes that you see by his bed are packed full of MREs and are HEAVY. They're stacked under neath a light switch that he can reach. Although I think we'll move those out too & just resort to unscrewing the light bulbs before he takes a nap or goes down for the night.
Well, I just had to share how big our little boy is! Oh, we also had an appointment today & found out that he's 28.75 lbs (65th percentile) & 33.25 inches (50th percentile).
And now just a few pictures I took today of him climbing on things in the living room :)
