Since its been a while...

Since its been a little while, I guess I'll post some pictures & a little family update. I've had a couple doctors appointments this past week. Ultimately on Friday, I had two moles removed because when I was in on Tuesday I had the doctor look at them & he said they needed to come off. I've had one ever since I can remember but its gotten much bigger, changed into three colors, went from flat to elevated, and had asymmetrical boarders. The other one, came out of no where & itched like crazy.

He decided to carve out both of them instead of just shaving them for some biopsy samples. I go back at the end of the week to have my stitches removed.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't stressed & feeling a lot of anxiety about everything. He said that he wanted to get them both all the way out that way he wouldn't have to go back & take them out completely if the results come back as cancerous. I really don't have a feeling one way or the other, but I am glad to have them off my body now. I started looking over myself & have found a few more than look like the ones I had taken off, so I will ask about those when I go in to have my stitches removed.

John had a big week too {lol}. Last weekend he decided to bite the nipple off his last binky while we were driving home from the commissary. We had decided a couple months back that once he ruined this last binky we would not buy him any more. Well, guess who's binky free?! Yep, John is! That night, we put him to bed at 7pm in anticipation of his throwing a huge fit {he'd been going to bed around 8pm previously}. It's a good thing we did. He screamed for 2 solid hours. He also woke up & cried from 2:30-3:30am. The next day, he cried for about 10ish minutes when we laid him down for his nap & 15-20 minutes that night. The third night, he went down without a peep! I'm really glad we stuck to our guns. He's actually been much better without a binky. He speaks more when he's upset instead of throwing a huge tantrum & comes to us for comfort & snuggles {which I love!!}. I've gotten more hugs & kisses out of him this past week than I have in a month!

Ellie is doing just great! She's been really clingy this week. I think that maybe she's starting to feel some separation anxiety. Particularly with me. On Friday, my appointment lasted about and hour & a half & Nathan said she cried almost the whole time {he had taken the kids home after dropping me off}. She cries if I set her down or walk out of the room too. She also is insistent of sleeping in our bed. For about 70% of the night, she sleeps on my side of the bed, & I sleep at the foot of the bed {I can't sleep with her right by me}. And the other little part, she's happy in her swing. I can't figure out why she won't sleep in her crib.

Nathan has just been busy with work & ACAPING {woohoo!}. He gets quite a bit of time off until January & then he has nerve surgery on his wrist/hand on January 8th & will be home for a few weeks following his surgery recovering. Hopefully this will be his last surgery!

Anyways, we've just been trying to enjoy the Christmas season, hitting up Christmas Markets & the like. I have tons of pictures from the markets that I need to go through & edit, but here are a few that I've taken over the past couple weeks in the mean time :)

John isn't very cooperative as you can tell...

Okay so in this one lol, this was last Monday night. We were waiting for Nathan to get home so I decided to try for picture of them {again} in from of the tree. I turned off all the lights & closed all the rolladens {makes everything pitch black}, the only window that I couldn't close off is the one in the kitchen. It's on the ceiling. I just got a handy dandy Canon Speedlight a few weeks ago & decided to experiment with different angles with that. Once the flash went off I saw that John had decided to share his little snack with Ellie- she loved it & cried so hard when I took it away! So funny!

my little model :)

This is one that Nathan took while I was at the doctors. Apparently this is one of moment of the five that she wasn't screaming :)

and I finally figured out how to keep John in place! sit him up on a kitchen chair! lol he's too afraid to try to get down since they're high.

and of course it wouldn't be complete without the crying photos ;)

A little sneak peek at a Christmas Market photo! I will definitely miss this next year!!

OH & last week I re-made our Christmas card that I'll be sending out this week! I think I like this one better than the first one I did.
