Playground

On Saturday afternoon, we walked the kids down a few blocks to a little playground in our town. It's so cute-- it has one long bench, a concrete ping pong table, sand pit, slide, teeter totter, swings, & some ropes/ladder climbing thing. It's perfect for John. Plus there are lots of trees, so there's plenty of shade.

I took my camera along because I wanted to practice shooting in "bad" sunlight... it was noon lol. Not the golden hour by ANY means, but I learned a lot!

I posted some of my favorites on Facebook Saturday night. After looking at them I was upset because the Facebook resizing action from Little Lusker that I had applied to them made them super grainy. Last night I searched high & low for good finishing actions & my favorite place to get actions, Paint the Moon, had a finishing set that I downloaded for free & LOVE. Her stuff is the best! I go to her actions repeatedly! I'm excited to try some of her storyboards & textures too :) Anyway, these are much better in quality-- closer to what my edited RAW images look like, so I'm much happier.

I love my boys!

Look at that AUBURN colored hair! eek! I hope it stays & that her eyes stay the blueish/green that they are!

I loved watching him run around, completely carefree! Those were the days... :)

His hair is starting to turn BLONDE! Crazy! I never thought I'd have a blonde haired kiddo.

Ellie loved watching her big brother play & loved looking at the big willow branches swaying in the breeze.

Just relaxing, making her spit bubbles.

Nathan helped him all the way to the top one time. All the other times, John climbed it himself!

Nathan didn't think he could fit with John, so he pushed him down. John was slightly traumatized ha. I ran over & caught him though.

He wasn't quite sure what to make of this...

This little guy has some muscles!

Nathan wanted to see how long he could hold himself up. It was a good 20 seconds!

I hate spiders & everything that goes along with them! It's possibly a phobia. I thought maybe if I tried to photograph a web, it'd seem less gross.... nope. I still hate it :)

I love, love, love this photo!! I need to figure out how to successfully remove large objects from images though. It drives me nuts that his binky is in it!

See? Traumatized. He did not want to go down by himself after Nathan's little push earlier.

What boy doesn't love a good tree to climb?

Loving his new point of view apparently.

Going to check on his little sister!

I just love these two! John is definitely a huge Daddy's boy!

Poor John is cutting all 4 of his canines.

:)

She was wanting to go home at this point.

I think it's safe to say that this was John's favorite area of the playground. He loves to climb!

WOOHOO! He actually looked STRAIGHT into the camera! He made me such a happy momma in that moment lol.
