Stateside

I am finally back in the states! After a 26+ hour travel day yesterday I made it back. It wasn't too bad though. After having to reroute my flight because of some bad weather it was fairly smooth sailing. The first flight was a little over 11 hours long but luckily the seat next to me wasn't occupied so I was able to stretch out! That is what I call a tender mercy. It was rather tight getting to my next flight though because I had to go through customs & we taxied on the runway for much longer than was anticipated. I had no idea what going through customs would be like. I had to go through security again, get my passport & paperwork checked, go pick up my checked bag & recheck it & answer stupid questions- ugh what a pain! I'm sure that I looked hilarious trying run through the Atlanta airport to catch my connecting flight to Kansas City though lol! That was quite the workout with my basketball sized belly :) So overall not too bad of a day. Now I just get to count down the weeks until Nathan joins me. I can't wait for him to get here; I miss him like crazy! It makes me want to cry when I think about him being by himself in our apartment half way around the world. So thank goodness it won't be too much longer until he joins me for a little while at least.

Aside from still being exhausted & so, so swollen in my legs, ankles & feet, I had a fun today with my mom and youngest brother & sister. It was so great eating at an American restaurant; Olive Garden lol. Then we hit up the mall after dropping David off at home. I bought a couple new pairs of shoes because I am one of the lucky ones whose feet apparently grow during pregnancy. I started off at a 7.5 & now wear an 8.5- I guess it happened to my mom too. And of course some new clothes since this little guy seems to be sticking out much more than he used to. That means that some new preggo pictures will be coming :)

At my last doctors appointment on Wednesday, the doctor adjusted my due date to my original one which was March 22nd instead of the 28th. Not a huge difference, but that does make me feel a little better about being induced. Oh & of course we couldn't get any decent ultrasound pictures of John's face because I guess there's not enough fluid for a good image because of the position that he's in. Kind of a bummer so we'll see what the doctor here says about that & hopefully after Monday's appointment things will be set in stone!
